Donaghy Brothers is Northern Ireland’s leading independent electrical retailer offering unbeatable value on all household electrical appliances. We have two stores in Northern Ireland, the original Donaghy Brothers shop in Kilrea and our second branch in Limavady.

Our humble beginnings
Donaghy Brothers was established many years ago in 1964 by a young and ambitious Sean Donaghy who believed he knew the secret to running a successful business and with more than forty five years of business under his belt, we’re inclined to think he might have been right.

At the tender age of 19, Sean started out selling and repairing televisions in modest premises in Church Street, Kilrea. Soon proving to have a flair for the craft, he rapidly expanded his product range, boasting the very latest in household electrical and cooking appliances.

Family business
Donaghy Brothers was founded on traditional values and we feel this has been key to much of our success. Sean’s brother, Gerard Donaghy who joined the company in 1978, runs the Limavady branch and his wife Maureen is an integral part of the Kilrea business. Sean’s two sons, Dermot and James, and his daughter Aileen are also involved in the business as are some of the extended Donaghy family.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have a team of highly talented and energetic individuals, many of whom have been longstanding employees for several decades. From the second a customer steps into our store or speaks to one of our team on the phone, their needs come first. While recognising that customer needs will continue to change, we are committed to developing our practices in whatever way necessary to ensure the customer is our number one priority.

Our friendly and courteous staff has created a customer experience that brings people back time and time again and our reputation has travelled the length and breadth of Ireland. This experience has filtered from individual customers through their extended family and friends and we are grateful for this support. One of the keys to Donaghy Brothers’ survival is going that extra mile for our customers and we believe our after sales service is second to none. Our relationship with our customer does not end upon closing the sale, we employ an excellent service and administrative team who will deal with any after sales enquiry in a timely and efficient manner.
